Vacancy – Oak Frame Carpenter

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Oak Frame Carpenter interested in an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and growing team. 

You will play a vital role in the fabrication and assembly of our bespoke timber frame structures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship are maintained. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble timber frame structures according to detailed plans and specifications.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fit timber components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Perform quality checks and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in timber frame assembly, with a strong portfolio of complete projects.
• Excellent knowledge of timber properties and woodworking techniques.
• Proficiency in using and maintaining hand and power tools, including saws, chisels and drills.
• Understanding of technical drawings and ability to interpret necessary information.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work at height and in various weather conditions.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Must have the ability to stay away from home for short periods of time for on-site frame assembly.
