Oak Frame Structural Engineer
Full Time / Permanent / 45 hrs a week

We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team.
You will be at the forefront of our engineering endeavours, working alongside our team to streamline the design and engineering process from start to finish. Any previous oak frame engineering experience is advantageous.
The role is crucial to the innovation and development of our bespoke oak frames, ensuring the success and feasibility of future projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Involvement in the early design phase, providing technical advice during the development of preliminary proposals.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Provide formal sign-off of completed frame designs, using either full calculations where necessary or sign-off based on precedent.
- Communicate and coordinate with external project engineers to agree specific project requirements.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in structural engineering and timber frame engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Knowledge of timber properties and structural behaviours.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting realistic deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
